Headstand Your Life (continuing education credits for YA registered teachers).
Headstand Workshop for instructors and students of all levels, who have at least 6 months of a consistent yoga practice.
Systematically learn how to leverage and engage your forearms, core and legs to move up into headstands, in a controlled and safe way.
Going upside down has several benefits including increased energy levels, "flushing out" the adrenal glands, strengthening the upper body, stimulating the lymphatic system, the practice of truly looking at life differently, and above all, tackling fears.
The fear of going upside down is not just about 'going upside down'. It's associated with fears of change, of trusting yourself and truly believing in your body's abilities and capabilities.
We'll practice variations from the most basic, with feet on the ground, to leg variations for those that decide to go upside down. Everyone is welcome to use the wall as well. You don't have to be able to do a headstand to attend. It's about the curiosity and the willingness to inquire.
Come explore and/or strengthen not just your headstand practice, but the emotional, mental and spiritual part of you. Everyone will receive a small special surprise at the end for choosing to explore and be curious about themselves.
At least 6 months of prior yoga experience is required, for non-teachers.
Yoga Alliance registered teachers will receive 3.5 continuing education credits, and all teachers will receive certificates of completion.
